Dear Santa,

You know that video I sent you?  That was a joke.

I have been good AND bad this year.  I am good when I help mom and I been a great helper before I been bad.  I did something bad to sissy cause I wanted the big red block.  cause I wanted to build on it.  She, before I got it, she just keep putting on the side, cause she keept swinging it side to side so I couldn’t get it, but I was too fast trying to get it.  I didn’t get it.  Please put me on the nice list cause I’m gonna try and be very good.

For Christmas I want a Meeba.  I also want a music vanity, but that’s because I’m gonna sell my sleeping beauty one and put a music one where my sleeping beauty one is.  I want a big, talking dollhouse.  I want the same footy pajamas that sissy wants.

Please can I have everything, cause I just want everything I say on my list.

Lily’s Video Message to Santa

Dear Santa,

I’ve been really good.  One nice thing I do at recess is play with the girl who doesn’t have anyone to play with.  But sometimes I fight with my sister.  I think I should still be on the “nice” list because I am normally good.  I will try not to fight next year.

I really want a Meeba and footy pajamas.  I would also like scrap-booking stuff.  I’d like baby stuff, too.  I would like books, art stuff, a desk, and webkins.  I want a puppy, but mommy doesn’t want to take care of him because we have two cats already.

You should bring me presents because I am giving lots of people presents.  I am giving my best friend,Grace… I’ll tell you later, she might be reading this.  I got presents for Lily, Mommy and Daddy, Nana, Grandma and Grandpa and other people in my family.

In response to Daddy’s request to “tell us more about vacation”

I built a really, really, really good sandcastle.  My grandma and grandpa and aunt Karen came over to my vacation today.  And Laura’s coming over tonight.  She’s gonna feed me supper.  Laura’s coming over to babysit me and mommy and daddy are going out to eat for supper.  I rode on the bumper boats and I played little putt putt too.  And I shooted a couple baskets.  We saw animals at the zoo yesterday when we were at the zoo.  We went to the rainforest and the regular zoo and we even had a picknic.  I played a little game of checkers with my mom.  Lily played with the black ones with my mom and I played with the red ones.  The butterflies are my favorite animals that I saw at the zoo.  We touched fur… monkey fur.  We got to put our hand in a little hole of a hand to see if our hand was the same size.  But it wasn’t… not even daddy’s hand was (she was referring to a mold of an orangutan hand).

“It’s really fun in the pool.  The pool is never cold.  The pool is always warm.  But you might get splashed.  In the pool, that is.  We got a big crab thing that you can ride on in the pool.  And we got a pink floatie.  And Lily used the old, yellow floatie.  But we don’t go to restaurants very often.  Mom and dad are going there two times.  ‘Cause we went one time all together.  And this time just mommy and daddy’s going to a restaurant.  And it’s super, super fun here… you should come here one time.”

Sydney’s response to Daddy’s request to “tell us how vacation is going”

I like the pool the most on vacation.  We rode on rides instead of playing putt putt, but we’ll go putt putting today.  I made a really cool sand castle… it was the best one yet!  And then the next day I put water in my sand castle.  We have the greatest beach ever here!  We went in bumper boats, me and my dad.  And it was lots of fun.  We even got splashed and the splashing part was so much fun.  We brought lots and lots of toys to vacation.  So many toys that I think we didn’t play with them all yet.  We played in the water and every time the waves came to me I pushed them back with my hands.    Mommy colored her hair at vacation.  Her hair is red now… it’s really, really pretty.  You should see it.  The place we’re staying is very, very nice.  You should come over one day when we’re here… it’s very nice.  I may tell you more about vacation after we go putt putting.

 

In response to daddy’s request to “tell us about your vacation next week”.

I’m excited to go on bucation.  I’m excited to, to see all the people who’s coming on vacation with me.  Aaaand, not “and”… don’t put “and” on there!  (Sydney hears me typing while she talks).  Um, um… i didn’t want you to type anything yet.  Are you typing stuff about you?  My Nana, grandma and grandpa is gonna come on vacation.  And my uncles and aunts and cousins are coming on vacation too… with me.  We looked at vacation and saw what it was like, and I know that pool’s gonna be really fun.  There’s a beach there too.  There’s a little bed and a big bed and the bottom one comes out.  We’re going to putt putt and we’re going to the zoo.  Me and Lily will like it alot.  I’ll tell you more about it when we’re on vacation.

Responding to daddy’s request to “tell me what you do on the computer”

Um, we can play some games on the computer.  I like to play Nick Jr.  That’s my favorite game.  And, um, everybody else plays on the computer too.  You can even watch a show on the computer too.  I watch gummy bear and Dora and Sydney aaaannnd… mmm, I don’t know.  And, um, a, um a computer has a computer chair.  And, um, you can see your camera on your computer too.  I take pictures wif it.  I talk to gramma and grampa on the computer.  I hear ‘em AND I see ‘em.  But sometimes I don’t see ‘em.  Um, on your game you can color.  And there’s also card games on the computer.  And the computer chair has wheels. 

Responding to daddy’s request to “tell me about getting your ears pierced”

Ok… well, um… mmm… I was a lil sceared about getting my ears pierced.  I was still excited too.  And, um, at the mall I, and um my ears and the ears, getting my ears pierced was fun.  Well, um they got, they put dots on my ears and they, they, then they put the earrings in.  Then they pinched, then they got the earrings.  And, um, I, mmm, I think, oh! And I got my pacifier and Mickey and Bear too.  And, and you made a video of me.  Um, wellll, um, my earrings were pretty and they were gold, little, yellow balls.  And, um well it hurt a little bit.  It itches, it keeps itching now, but I can’t itch it.  Well, um people like my earrings.  I tell people all about it at church.  I think that’s all I can think of.

Um, ummm… I think Olivia is my favorite friend.  Because, because she’s nice and I like to play wif her.  Well, I like to play.  Well, I go to her house and I eat lunch there some times.  Kailin is Lily’s friend too.  Well, I like, well, I like to… she likes, uhh, she likes to come to my house some times.  We play here when she, when she comes over.  We kind of play different fings.  Well, umm she kind of likes to play hide and seek wif me.  I like Jordyn and Danyela.  They are my cousins.  I play wif ‘em a lot.  Uh… sometimes, mmm, I race wif dem.  Umm, I like to, I would like to umm, ummmm… I like to eat lunch wif dem here.  Umm… Dominic is my boyfriend.  He’s very nice.  He’s different from the girls because, ummm… he, he isn’t a girl.  Well, well he’s big and strong like a girl, he’s big and strong.  Well, Jack and Jack… one of the Jack’s is my friend.  Ummm… well, he, he… he sometimes be’s good a lil’ bit.  And sometimes he hits and I protect myself so he doesn’t hit me because I don’t like being hit.  So I protect myself.  (Don’t worry Jack, Syd’s daddy hit once or twice when he was your age ; ).  I play in the play room, well he doesn’t come to my house all the time.  But he didn’t come to my house right now.  I wanna tell you about another cousin.  I like Tia.  Mmm… I even like God and Jesus.  I love them.  I love God and Jesus.  Well, I love them because, um, um, they make me a lot of… dey made me.  And I’m so happy.

Responding to daddy’s request to “tell your friends and family something about you today ”

Uhhh… ok, well.  Uhh, I’m playing.  We’re watching the football game.  Well, my shirt is a football one, right?  It’s a football one!  I got it from auntie blaire.  Uhhh… what else?  (whispers) What else?  What else do I need to tell you?  Well, the art that I do is cut and glue… aaaannnnnd paint.  Paint, paint, paint, paint, paint, paint, paint… PAINNNT!  Those buttons are low instead of up… Daddy, why are those buttons low instead of up?  (Talking about the keyboard on the laptop).  (giggling)… Lily!  (Lily just tickled Sydney’s feet).  I do people.  Iiiiiiii, I do circles and I do, let’s see… (giggles)… I, I draw spiders…  (singing) the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout, down came the rain and washed the spider out.  Up came the sun and dried up all the rain and the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout.  Hey, daddy, what’s that little stuff on the computer (pointing at the icons on top of the screen).  What’s that stuff up there?  Choo, choo… (Lily’s playing with a train and distracting Sydney)… You forgot to put the monkey in.  (giggles)… that’s all there is.  That’s all I wanted to tell you.  That’s all there is, that’s all I wanted to tell you daddy.

In response to Daddy’s question: “What happened at the party? “

Well… when they danced for themselves I cried. ‘cause, cause, cause, they were dancing by thereself. ‘cause they’re the ones who had the party. And when they’re done dancing we could… okay? And then I, I tried to stop crying. And then I wanted to go back home. Well, I danced with a lil boy. And then I wanted to go back home. I showed the lil boy my glasses. He showed me his toy.
